The virtual exhibition by the Berlin Academy of Arts, ‘Labor 1802–2020’, brings together scientific materials, sound and listening experiments, and views of installations, which reflect the intellectual and experimental space of the ‘Labor Beethoven’ project and make it accessible as a space for knowledge and experience. The exhibition spans historical experiments in music and physics from around 1802 to the present day. Through autographs, academic texts, videos of sound and listening experiments, numerous audio files and photographs, it offers insights into this multifaceted workshop.

Beethovens „Sturmsonate“ und „Diabelli-Variationen“, Anton Reichas „Practische Beispiele“ oder Helmholtz‘ „Lochsirenenfahrrad“ spiegeln sich in aktuellen Experimenten von EvaGentner/Adrian Nagel, Marcus Schmickler, Mauricio Kagel, Peter Ablinger oder Johannes Wernicke.
„Labor 1802-2020“ ist Teil des Abschlussfestivals Labor Beethoven 2020, das Mitte März 2020 aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie hinter verschlossenen Türen stattfinden musste und in Bild und Ton aufgezeichnet wurde. Videos der Uraufführungen des Festivals finden Sie auf: www.labor-beethoven-2020.de
