Photo and video documentation of a two-week mission by a team of paediatric and plastic surgery specialists at Loterana Hospital in Manambaro, Madagascar. The doctors and nurses have been supporting the hospital, under the leadership of Dr Heuric Rakotomalala, for more than 10 years. Manambaro is located an hour’s drive along dirt tracks south of Fort Dauphin and Toglanaro in south-eastern Madagascar.
The medical mission was coordinated and supported by pro interplast, a non-profit association promoting paediatric and plastic surgery, and was carried out under the leadership of Dr Bertram Reingruber.
